"Musk and Carlson are both profoundly wrong; the documents released so far show no such thing. In October 2020, when the laptop story broke, Joe Biden was not president. The Democratic National Committee (which also asked for Twitter to review tweets) is not an arm of the government. It’s a private political party. Twitter is not an arm of the government; it is a private company."
So defeated lunatic Kari Lake is enthusiastically embracing defeated lunatic Trump's call to "terminate" the Constitution to undo elections they lost.
Meanwhile election denial is the major reason Rs blew an easy chance at a genuine red wave.
Kevin McCarthy's reaction? "I VOW MASSIVE INVESTIGATIONS INTO TWITTER TAKING DOWN HUNTER'S DICK PICS!!!!"
Interesting. I don't have a lot of followers on Twitter - I've been in the 400s for years. The various bot purges had no impact because with few followers they were all real people.
But my follower count, which had gone up recently to nearly 500, just dropped by ~30.
That's weird. Not sure exactly what it means, but it's surely some Musk crap.
NB as the orange maniac screams this morning for a redo of the 2020 election or to be declared the winner NOW and howls about the "fraudulent election":
R analysts are warning their own party that they lost a significant number of *R voters* to the Ds in the midterms *specifically because of election denial.*
Of Rs that split their tickets or voted straight D, 2/3 said election denial was the main reason.
The orange maniac just went on a screaming, hysterical rant about the Elon nothingburger, completely embracing the insane idea that "the government" pressured Twitter when *he was president and Biden was not* - and he directly demanded to be declared the winner of the 2020 election. Now. Or to have a new election called. Because otherwise we're a dictatorship.
Do Rs *really* think renominating this madman would be a winning plan? After this midterm?
Center-left academic type. Generally pissed about the state of the world but I know none of our endless crises are actually new because I'm a historian.
