So what happens if the corps actually jump ship on the twit? Will we see companies or "influencers" trying to promote stuff here? Will we see colleges and medical places post testimonials elsewhere? They need to stay relevant and most got into a good groove over the past decade.

@Progress0nly In one sense, I admit to trying to be an “influencer”, though only insofar as I want to influence others to be better, to not beat themselves up, to feel a little better.

Brands and firms and orgs and other “influencers” will try to come here. There’s a growing population here and Mastodon generally, but at that point they’ll be lost since this isn’t an ad based medium. Can’t buy your way to success, any account needs to earn follows by trust.
