What are your greed-flation stories? Today at Kroger: over $4 for a small tub of cream cheese. Didn't buy it. I wonder how much food gets thrown away because people can't afford to buy it?

@LnzyHou @Pepstar Movie theater candy has always been ludicrous though.

@Gord02 @Pepstar

$5 is robbery. I’d have to be starving to death.

@Pepstar Unsure about the "can't afford it" bit, but is it worth it is more like the question. I can buy a 12 pack of soda for $7.20, the current going rate, which is nearly double the cost from pre-pandemic days, but why? I can afford it, but why should I at these rates?

Fuck all of these Corporate assholes for greed-flation.

@Pepstar Different tact but this year I put in a large raised bed garden to grow vegetables. Its not that I can't afford but I wont contribute to bad actors more than necessary. So I consider my garden a victory over stupid prices. As long as people are buying it they will keep jacking up the prices.

@Pepstar horizon chocolate milk six pack $8.99!
Son is going to have to drink Nesquick now.
