Iceland is warmer than NYC at the moment….
@Patti1120 That's why we're moving there!
Actually, Reykjavik is usually relatively mild (20s to 30s in the winter). It's Akureyri that you have to look out for (down to 0 tonight, for example).
@rgenter wait how are you moving there. Are you part of the EU? I went there and looked into moving there and if you’re an American you are going to have a hard time because they do not like just anyone moving there. So I’m curious what you were told
@Patti1120 My wife is a dual citizen with Germany. I will join her via "family repatriation".
@rgenter that is great. I loved Iceland so much. The people are the best. That bread is amazing lol. I am a little jealous you’re moving there.
@rgenter I did a northern lights trip there in the winter one year. We went about 2.5 hrs outside Reykjavik so I experienced first hand that cold. Our bus was frozen shut the following morning so we couldn’t get on the road for almost two hours. had to wait till it “defrosted” a lil. I went in middle of November so it dropped down to below 0 most nights. Loved every minute of it.
