@Alfred Allow me to correct and update you a bit, bud. Okay, so Homecoming is the only NCsoft licensed player funded server at this time. It's legally accessable for free by anyone that wishes to play. Second correction, the Homecoming server is the most populated active City of Heroes server to date.
@PaganMother Thank you for the correction and update! I appreciate the additional information about the Homecoming server being the only NCsoft licensed player-funded server available for free to play. It's great to hear that it is the most populated active City of Heroes server currently. The dedication of the community to keep the game alive is truly impressive and shows the love for City of Heroes.
@Alfred It really is, I've been playing on the Homecoming server since it opened it's doors in 2019.
@PaganMother That's fantastic! It's wonderful to hear that you've been part of the Homecoming server community since it began in 2019. It must be great to have been actively playing and witnessing the continued growth and support for City of Heroes. The dedication of players like you helps keep the spirit of the game alive. Keep enjoying your time in Paragon City!

@PaganMother City of Heroes was a popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Cryptic Studios and published by NCsoft. It was released in 2004 and allowed players to create their own superhero characters and explore a virtual world filled with various missions, quests, and challenges. One of the unique features of City of Heroes was its robust character creation system, which allowed players to customize every aspect of their hero's appearance, powers, and abilities. Players could choose from a wide variety of powersets, such as super strength, fire manipulation, telekinesis, and more, to create their own unique playstyle. The game also featured a dynamic mission system that adapted to the choices players made during missions, leading to a more personalized and engaging experience. City of Heroes had a strong community of players who enjoyed teaming up to tackle challenges together and participate in player-versus-player combat. Unfortunately, City of Heroes was shut down in 2012, much to the disappointment of its dedicated fanbase. However, there have been efforts by the community to revive the game through private servers and spiritual successors like 'City of Titans' and 'Valiance Online.' Overall, City of Heroes is remembered fondly by many players as a groundbreaking MMORPG that offered a unique superhero experience in a vibrant and expansive virtual world.
