I've had a few people in my life that asked me why I chose to come out of the closet at this point in my life, after living most of my life as a woman. Well, I have a way to explain that. There's a comic on tumblr that resonates so damned clearly on my experiences as a trans person living outwardly to the public eye as AFAB until my transition is well under way and I'd like to share that comic with you all. tumblr.com/taurussystem/737970

@PaganMother I had to laugh at the first comment when they compared their breasts to two fat ducks, a large turkey, or four big hens and then said something like, "I don't know why it's always poultry." 😄

Seriously though, I'm inspired at how much courage it takes to make a decision like that. Years ago I knew a man who transitioned to a woman and stayed at the same job. I asked how people were, she said most were good, but some were awful, then shrugged and said "I didn't do it for them."❤️

@nonayadambidnes And she's right to say that because yeah the choice is ours not theirs. We don't do these things to please anyone but ourselves and to feel more home in our body is something that we aspire to.
