Lesson in not misgendering: Ask them to remind you if you slip up.
Regretably I did misgender my fae-child several times in my excitement, and I do sincerely apologize for that. They are not upset but I asked them to remind me so I can correct myself. And yes, neo pronouns are awesome and most welcome around me.

@PaganMother

They/their does not roll off the tongue easily. Lots of English rules to unlearn.

@LnzyHou @PaganMother I dialect what rolls of the tongue really is mainly just about what people are used to. Which is, in turn, mainly about what people are brought up with.

Fair play to you and anyone else interested in making that change to help others feel more included

@66ALW99 @LnzyHou @PaganMother This is all so true. When I first met my pastor 5 years ago, they said, "I identify as queer and my pronouns are they/them". I worked hard with them and every other person I met who shared their pronouns. A few months ago, this person began to pastor my current church and now says "they/him". Early days, I asked him to correct me and he said, "Genderfluid means it's all OK". Glad to have others who do correct me!

@LnzyHou @wolfwoman @66ALW99 It is, but it's worth learning. *nods.* I love my feachild dearly, and the last thing I wish to do, is harm them by something I've said.

@LnzyHou @PaganMother oh my word. Sorry, was a little drunk when I typed that. Genuinely amazed anyone understood it 😂
