I had admittedly held off on writing this for some time, to see if more bills presented threat to the LGBTQ and minorities of Michigan, and after checking several legislative trackers, lo and behold, 6 more were introduced to the floor this years session. Madam Whitmer had replied in my first letter that she is a staunch supporter for the LGBTQ of our state and will actively keep watch for bills such as these to ensure they do not reach a law status in our state but I figured I might check in.
Hubs gave the smile and thumbs up of approval, so off to the Gov's office it goes!

@AskTheDevil Thank you. <3 Life here in Michigan is alright, but it will get better if she listens to her constituents on these matters. I have high hopes for Gretchen as a state leader.
@PaganMother It does feel like she's been trying to fight a good fight. It's hard to tell sometimes with these people.
I worry about who she accepts money from for campaigns, but she's seemed to be on a better course than most. I'd probably vote for her.
Perhaps even Presidential someday!

@PaganMother @JulesofJoy And it will likely mean that we can look at Trump and Biden in the rear-view mirror.
I think that would be an improvement.
I still don't have as complete a sense of her as I would like, but that's probably always true.
@AskTheDevil @JulesofJoy Personally, having lived in a state that she's enacted big changes of acceptance and support for folks like me even going against an entire political party to do so - I do believe she's the sense of change that this nation really needs.
Yes for politicians to do the job for ALL the people... with a selfless approach to governing.
@JulesofJoy @AskTheDevil I'm really proud of her, she's stood strong even against the onslaught of bullshit that the Republican candidates tried to throw at her, and the smear that the Orange Russian Puppet had thrown her way over the years during his single term. That takes balls and a serious sense of strength in determination.
Another term for Prez Joe but with the House and Senate... to make sure that the bullshit is discovered and dealt with.
@JulesofJoy @PaganMother I have little confidence that all, or even much of the bullshit will be dealt with, especially as some of it is coming from inside the house.
But I am confident that the people in the White House are not interested in turning us into Gilead or starting ww3.
