I'm considering putting together a fall harvest celebration with my family in the next few months. Do you have any traditions, or ritual practices you relate to the fall season? Do tell me, and I'd love to learn more about them. I go with my gut a lot of the time - norse flavored witchcraft with a blend of hedge/kitchen witchcraft in the melting pot here. #CoSoPagans
@jasod I'd like to keep it in the thread if possible, I know Pro can be a bit hard to afford for some and having free education, and building understanding between faith differences is something I hope we can do here. :)

Samhain (pronounced sowen) is one of my favorite days of the year. I try to celebrate with a bonfire in druidic / celtic tradition at end of the harvest season and start of winter, and memories of the good times spent with family and friends who are now deceased.
I also enjoy "more pagan" modern traditions like All Hallows Eve / Halloween and also Oktoberfest 🍻. Any reason for a fun gathering. 💃
@PaganMother I bake soda bread, can apple butter, and offer the first fruits of both.
@jasod That's a wonderful way to celebrate and honor the harvest! :) I had been considering doing some fruit canning this fall, there's a few areas locally my family and I can pick for free but I gotta stock up on canning materials. xD

In Fall the wind carries the stories stored in the falling leaves. I love to go outside and just listen to it, the sounds of Spring and Summer in the rear view mirror, the susurration of an ocean of air. It refills my soul for the coming Winter.
