no idea... I met him many years ago... 71 or 72. He was playing at the college I was attending and one of my roommates was the booker for all the shows..

He has quite a vocal range and when I met him one day he spoke in such a twangy nasally voice.. It was a little shocking after hearing his LPs for a couple years.
