Suggestions from behavioral psychology which often work over a period of time, although are opposite the common pattern followed by most parents: When your boy is naughty, try your best not to scold him or punish him but rather to ignore him if possible. But, most importantly, during those times he is behaving, pay attention and quickly praise him verbally and hug him if you can. He will learn to associate your love with good behavior and should improve over a period of a few weeks.
