Australia rejects proposal to recognise Aboriginal people in constitution
@NorthernInvader You'd think they would have done it long ago.
@BillieBun don't forget who colonized Australia. Wherever the English colonized they attempted to remove, or dilute, any indigenous culture. This wasn't just ancient, here in 🇨🇦 indigenous children were still being taken from their families and put into Catholic & Protestant residential schools, where they were stripped of their culture and language, up to the 1960s. To date the racism continues.
