My barn cat hates atmospheric river storms. I know this since January.

He gets special attention on those days, he has to stay close, stay warm and eat more.

He will probably meow all day, asking me to change the weather and make the storm stop. Wish I could.

@peeppeepcircus The roar of the river woke me up at 5:30. We're already on an island and there's no leaving for at least a couple of days.

Wow. I’ve got angrier water drainages around me. Worse than last time. Pretty sure my (only) road is washed out/damaged/closed again by now.

@NorCalCherylLyn @dauphin87

Appreciate the thought, however every time I hear be safe or stay safe it’s a dystopian drinking came for me at this point. So, um, cheers to living dangerously in the age of climate change? For just living? 🥂

@peeppeepcircus @NorCalCherylLyn I have 3 observation points during flooding. The bottom step of the back deck, the stone pathway by the driveway, and the pier of the deck next door. So far the water has stayed the same as what we had in Jan and back in 2017. 2017 washed out brush and overgrowth that had been there during the drought. Now the channels are all clear and the water is much faster leaving lots of sand. Still a good amount of debris most likely coming down from Sequoia park.

@dauphin87 @peeppeepcircus cool that the channel got cleared out! That fast water looks very threatening.

@peeppeepcircus @dauphin87 lol…I get it. The reaction is reflexive either way. 🥴
