Something I want to share. Recently GC and "LGB" hate group members have been going on and on about a debunked theory about transgender identifying people being a social contagion. Thing is, we've always fucking been here. We just don't feel safe coming out to UNSAFE people. Reason there's so many of us coming out, is because of better medicine practices, surgical practices, and studies understanding us better.

@PaganMother That's not to say it isn't dicey. My family is so worried about me being hate crimed we turned it into a verb.
There are people coming out of the wood work trying to slander us as groomers, weaponizing people again us.
But for the first time we have support, we have a voice thanks to the net and allies, we have medical options to live more fully our truth.
It is far better to live the life you want than the lie they give you!
@PaganMother There are still a lot of good furs out there. I have a lot of friends in the Furry community that I count as solid otherkin allies, and LGBT Allies.
When anything gets big though, fringe elements can seemingly gain a larger hold, but if you look at it by capita, they are still firmly the minority.
This is one of the reasons I've just decided to table flip and be open about everything.
For one, it's who I am, so why should I hide it. If I don't show my real self, how can anyone really love me?
That whole, far better to live the life you want line I like so much
Beyond that, we can be lighthouses for each other. There's someone out there struggling, and they haven't gotten to a place where they're ready to be open yet, but if I show up, they can get a lil closer to peace.
@NiveusLepus Yep, I have a few friends in the furry and scaley community that are fearful of hate crimes happening to them as well. We've been speaking in support of one another for quite some time now. The outliers that claim to be part of the furry community usually find their way kicked out of the community for harming children, and worse.
