Mom was having a bad morning.

I asked her, "Mom do you think you are near the end of your life?"

She replied, "Yes."

I asked, "What do you think of that?"

She said, "I feel good about it. My children are doing well with their development (we are all in our 60s) and I feel they can carry on." Then she asked me, "What do you think of that?"

I answered, "I know it is coming, but I have no idea what it will be like after you are gone."

She said, "You are a good woman with a big heart."
