Just a test. Was unable to post last evening and got only error messages.

@stueytheround

I disagree. Many forums I post in have edit buttons. Those that do have an edit history, so that you can see what was originally posted if the responses seem incongruous.

It could also be made a violation of TOS to abuse the edit feature in that way, resulting in permanent bans.

Boards have successfully functioned with edit features for decades.

@amarand me too. Too often politicians treat him like a normal person. He isn’t. He’s a narcissist. He cares for no one except himself. He is not motivated by the things that drive most people.

I should put some sort of block on CoSo so I cannot post here until I have had at least one cup of coffee.

Or, J needs to give us the ability to edit our posts. I am a typo queen before coffee (and I still manage to make some typos after coffee).

On NATO...

The Democratic-led House on Jan. 22 voted 357-22 for a bipartisan bill that would tie Mr. Trump’s hands by refusing him any federal money to pay the costs of leaving the alliance.

The Republican-led Senate should quickly follow, either approving the House measure or a separate bill proposed by a bipartisan group of senators that requires Mr. Trump to obtain approval from two-thirds of the Senate to “suspend, terminate or withdraw U.S. membership in NATO.”

Ugh. Typos. I simply should not try to post anything until I have had some coffee. Thumb typing without coffee is dangerous.

Well, the was refreshing to read this morning!

Nancy Pelosi says the State of the Union address will NOT happen on Tuesday.

That’s good. 45* temporarily reopened government so that he could get the SOTU on prime time TV. By withholding that plum, Pelosi has leverage. She know how to manipulate a malignant narcissist.

@chaddus

Agreed!

Homemade bread of any type is so superior to commercial bread. But yes, my bread baking has stepped up in taste and quality considerably since sourdough entered my life.

@chaddus it was a delightful mistake and has lead me on a journey of exploration. My sourdough starter lives on my countertop and is fed daily, and I use it in so many things, not just bread. Sourdough pancakes are a big favorite around here too!

But bread baking day is always a treat. We love it! 😻

@chaddus

I thought I loved bread baking before, when I used yeast. I baked often and bought yeast in bulk. I was interested in sourdough, but somehow intimidated by it.

Then I accidentally created a soured dough, and from that made my starter. My starter is almost a year old now also.

“Bread” in stores is not bread!

@amarand @Groovyeli

Probably! I haven’t ventured into rye sourdough as yet. Sounds adventurous.

@amarand @Groovyeli

Hmmmmm. Well, so far, we haven’t gotten high on any sourdough goodies I’ve baked!

😹

@amarand @Groovyeli

🧐

I don’t have a lot of LSD floating about in my kitchen.

😸

@amarand @Groovyeli

Yes, wild yeasts are everywhere, including the air. It is very easy to capture your own for baking.

@GEAUXJayna

Cats and blankets are a serious part of a winter weekend. My cats will meow at me until I make a big lap in the recliner.😸

@amarand

I use my sourdough starter which I made last year by accident (started to make a yeast bread but didn’t get around to baking it for a few days and it soured, taken over by wild yeasts). Sourdough is made up of native yeasts and is slower to rise. The advantages are taste and the health benefits of a long fermentation.

@evistre @JadeVamp

It gets cold in the Midwest, but not as cold for as long as it did when I lived in Alaska!
