One thing I love about summers in Illinois is that while it may get hot and humid later today, right now it is lovely outside and we have windows and doors open, enjoying the morning fresh air while we have breakfast.

Air conditioning is needed here for comfort, but not 24/7.

And I prefer listening to songbirds than a droning air conditioning system.
