Long wait times for COVID test results are indeed a thing. Because we have had cases where I work, I got tested last Tuesday. No symptoms. Just wanted to get tested since my DH is high risk.
Still waiting for my results.

It took my daughter and granddaughter two weeks to get their results after one of my granddaughters' friends tested positive.
