Possible Caribbean or Gulf system
A broad region of spin over Central America, known as the Central American Gyre, may help generate a named storm next week. It’s too early to ascertain any specific details, but tropical development is possible. MyRadar meteorologist Matthew Cappucci has an early preview.

The full moon will look a little darker than normal tonight.
Why?
A very, very minor lunar eclipse. The moon will be darkened by the broadest, most diffuse part of the Earth's shadow called the "penumbra."
It's not worth staying up for, but the moon will be a bit darker.

Localized Flooding in the Mid-South
The remnants of Francine will continue to pump moisture north into Alabama, western Georgia and western Tennessee, causing pockets of flooding. Another 2 to 3 inches of rain are expected by Saturday evening. MyRadar meteorologist Matthew Cappucci has an update.
