We have a fish swimming in the street in Sarasota. The rain that came down from the outer bands this morning is having trouble escaping to the Bay because of high tide and water levels coming up.
Hurricane #Helene from space is a sight to behold (with a 400 mi wide wind field)!
Landfall is expected around 9:00 PM EDT along the Big Bend of Florida.

We often talk about the "dirty" side of a tropical cyclone being on the right/east side.
Using the winds layer in the app, it's pretty easy to see how much more powerful the winds are on the eastern side of Hurricane #Helene.
The right side (particularly in the right-front quadrant) is where you often find the strongest winds and the threat of tornadoes.
Thank you! Forwarded on to the team.
