NOW is the time to prepare! Meteorologist Matthew Cappucci has everything you need to know about #Helene in 90 seconds:
#Helene has some organizing to do before strengthening⬇️

A growing tropical storm needs wrap-around convection enclosing an established core.
#Helene is officially named.
The Tropical Storm has winds of 45 MPH, a central pressure of 1000mb, and is moving northwest at 12 MPH.
This is the beginning of a long road for Helene.🌀

A rapidly-intensifying #Helene will make landfall along the Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday.
Life-threatening storm surge, severe and perhaps devastating winds, flooding rains and tornadoes are likely.
Meteorologist Matthew Cappucci has an update on landfall.
Hurricane #Helene will rapidly intensify in the Gulf of Mexico. While impacts at the coast will be devastating, severe wind gusts, flooding rains and tornadoes are possible inland as well.
