A fallstreak hole is a large gap, usually circular or elliptical, that can appear in cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds. They are caused by supercooled water in the clouds suddenly evaporating or freezing
This one coupled with an iridescent cloud, was spotted over Chiapas, Mexico on December 27, 2023.
@MyRadar I've seen pics of fallstreak holes before but never seen one in real life. They look pretty trippy, my first thought would be aliens lol.
That being said, something looks off in this pic - how the sky is different where the powerlines are.
Huh. My friend and I saw some like that one night while camping.
Ours was more triangular, but yeah. That was it.
Literally super cool.
Whenever I see him again, I'm always gonna see his hair as the clouds, and the ship's descent being gestured by his hands.
