Changed my name because I found out the reason I picked Wren wasn’t real. Blah it’s Monday and I’m exhausted it was a long painful night with medical changes and I am just so damn over it all

I had a friend of nearly 20 years just walk away from me last year when I nearly died from crohns issues without a word. I can’t stop thinking about her so I asked what I did wrong today like a big old asshole and now I am anxious and regret it even if I am sure she will ignore it

Finished off with the gravy over the biscuits which I also forgot to take pics of and then put a sunny side up egg on top!

It’s breakfast time round here and my roommate requested biscuits and gravy! I forgot to grab a pic of the sausage cooking but it’s just plain old store sausage. I cooked it up, tossed some flour on it and cooked that added milk and cooked that down and made some biscuits and started some eggs

It’s super cold today and I am up and cooking biscuits and gravy and thinking of things to make with ingredients I have on hand

I cooked my ass off on Thursday and slept all day long yesterday

I’m binging on crappy pulp horror stories and I found this one author who writes well but seems to have limited imagination. I’ve read two books so far and both of them have had the bad guys be some sort of fucked up hills have eyes family killing people

I have more of his work and I’m really debating if I wanna try more.

If there is anything better than ending your day with a bed full of corgis I will eat my kindle.

Got the compound butter made up with parsley, rosemary, thyme and lemon zest with salt and then stuffed it under the skin and am about to throw it in the oven!

So I first brined the chicken all day and in salt with garlic and lemon and fresh herbs from the garden I cut up and peeled all the veg and tossed it in a bit of melted butter and olive oil with rosemary and thyme and then I made some lemon rice and am making a compound butter for the chicken and I even got four russet potatoes so I’m gonna make mashed potatoes too! (Kidlets request)

Today was a good haul for us in the food bank and with others generosity I am able to take all of the things we got and supplemented the rest to make enough for a family dinner to feed nine! First we are doing a whole roasted chicken over sweet potatoes, carrots, and leeks

Then I added in some mushroom stock I had accidentally gotten instead of beef stock once and fresh rosemary and thyme from my leftover herb garden cooked that for an hour before using the immersion blender to blend almost all the mushrooms and added in a cup of half and half and some grated parm I had and a splash of red wine vinegar and tada!

Got some mushrooms from a food bank today and decided to make some mushroom soup! I first started by caramelizing some onions in butter and garlic and then added in more garlic and mushrooms and some olive oil, and cooked that down until it was roasted mushrooms!
