So then I chopped a full butt load of garlic and shredded some cheese and now I’m cooking up a mess of tater tots and will assemble!

When the bacon was finished I went in and added the peppers and onion into the grease with Worcestershire, garlic, and seasonings!

So started rendering and crisping up some bacon, cut up my onions and peppers including this HUUUUGE jalapeño to get ready for the pan

Finished off with the gravy over the biscuits which I also forgot to take pics of and then put a sunny side up egg on top!

It’s breakfast time round here and my roommate requested biscuits and gravy! I forgot to grab a pic of the sausage cooking but it’s just plain old store sausage. I cooked it up, tossed some flour on it and cooked that added milk and cooked that down and made some biscuits and started some eggs

Got the compound butter made up with parsley, rosemary, thyme and lemon zest with salt and then stuffed it under the skin and am about to throw it in the oven!

So I first brined the chicken all day and in salt with garlic and lemon and fresh herbs from the garden I cut up and peeled all the veg and tossed it in a bit of melted butter and olive oil with rosemary and thyme and then I made some lemon rice and am making a compound butter for the chicken and I even got four russet potatoes so I’m gonna make mashed potatoes too! Today was a good haul for us in the food bank and with others generosity I am able to take all of the things we got and supplemented the rest to make enough for a family dinner to feed nine! First we are doing a whole roasted chicken over sweet potatoes, carrots, and leeks

Then I added in some mushroom stock I had accidentally gotten instead of beef stock once and fresh rosemary and thyme from my leftover herb garden cooked that for an hour before using the immersion blender to blend almost all the mushrooms and added in a cup of half and half and some grated parm I had and a splash of red wine vinegar and tada!

Got some mushrooms from a food bank today and decided to make some mushroom soup! I first started by caramelizing some onions in butter and garlic and then added in more garlic and mushrooms and some olive oil, and cooked that down until it was roasted mushrooms!

Here it is in all its glory! I tossed everything together covered it in wads of cheese which I melted and then sprinkled the bacon cut up on top!

Have added in some tomato paste, whole tomatoes, hamburger, garlic, and potatoes and crisped up some bacon!

I have a bunch of potatoes and things sitting around so I’m gonna start making what I am calling ‘hash’ even if I’m not certain it’s anything like hash at all lol
