Solar peeps- I get the idea that I’m better served buying more EcoFlow Deltas than a charge controller (with monitoring app), LiFePO4 battery, and comparable inverter by way of costs. Am I missing something there? Also, can you stick an EcoFlow like in a battery box of some sort outside where the solar panels live?
“Tesla CEO Elon Musk could leave if $56 billion pay package not approved, shareholders warned / ‘This is obviously not about the money,’ Tesla’s board chair writes — presumedly with a straight face.”
Shareholders “warned” that good things would happen if they DON’T pay off this numbnut. Talk about threatening with a good time…

I was so pleased with my prior 3D printed open baffle speaker arrangement, I decided to up the stakes a bit. Here’s the next version with a 6” driver instead of the 4”. Sound tests later today when I won’t wake anyone.
I’m not sure, but I might want to make that backside flying buttress brace dealy in metal. We’ll see how that part holds up. The 4” version didn’t have one.
Crossing the signal over at 3200Hz.
Materials costs are mostly woofer/tweeter, but all in I think I’m under $75 for the pair. Looking forward to see how they fare with that in mind.
In today’s episode of “How stupid spoiled is Mooky?”, this home I’m in was wired by the Keystone Cops. There are random outlets on two floors that all connect to one GFI outlet in an upstairs bathroom. When it rains sideways (as it has just done) water gets SOMEWHERE that causes the GFI to pop, taking with it three security cameras, various chargers, etc. AND!
My bidet lid.
That’s right. If I want to shit right now, I need to go scare up an extension cord, or wipe like a caveman.
Maybe I should get a UPS for the toilet? Ha! Meanwhile elsewhere all over people have real troubles.
Boeing moved 787 final assembly to South Carolina in a “cost cutting” move. How does that cut costs? No unions and comparatively unskilled labor in South Carolina when compared to Washington state.
Now that shits hitting the fan, they fly all new 787’s straight from South Carolina to Washington state, where the jets are torn down and rebuilt.
This is how idiotic and greedy Boeing leadership is. This is capitalism. Boeing is too big to fail, so maybe we let the stock free fall, then nationalize and bring back skill and safety?
Hmm. I was looking up the word meaning/origin of the name of the faith called Presbyterian. Like, where does that name come from? It certainly doesn’t sound Gaelic.
Most answers say the word comes from the Greek word πρεσβύτερος (presbyteros), meaning “elder.” That makes sense.
The OED however all alone says “Presbyterian is a borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element.” If you want to see more, you need an account.
So much for the OED being the standard bearer for the language.
I’ll probably say something you find offensive if I haven’t already. It’s okay- mute or block me.
