Dials? Keypads? Displays? No no- forget that nonsense fellas. We’ve got all the reels we need.
State-of-the-art in that time period. Most computers were punched paper tape or punch cards then. Big bucks were needed for magnetic tape storage.

@Lulz4l1f3 this was a flick from 1967. Star Trek had Tricorders and phasers on stun and shit. These guys couldn’t keep up with the phone company of their own time.
But man- they had all the Brubeck you’d ever need for your journey to Neptune.
