@jenebene My sister bought a used treadmill, put it in the carport, and trained her Irish setter to run on it. Problem solved!
Male university students have walked out of their exam in protest against Taliban’s decision to BAN female students from university education.
Several male professors have also resigned so far.
@Booga
It's so lovely to go back to the roots and away from the elaborations. Thanks for reading!
Wishing you all a peaceful and insightful #wintersolstice. #cosopagans
We connect with the ancestors and celebrate many traditions. I've gathered stories from Celtic and Lakota memories in my latest essay; my reflections and a blessing for you all are here, too:

@Tomdurk Close enough. The mustache and eyebrows look right. 😉
@WILDKATZ Whatever grace and merit I have, I’m sending to you. May all your loved ones be safe and well.
@sarcasmsign would that be the same morning I can’t remember what day it is?
Hey @elleci42a ! You might find this interesting.

@phase yeah…and who gets to decide what’s appropriate for the situation? 😉
@Queasy The thing is: you have to be ruthless with yourself. Unafraid to cut, slash, delete, & remove. I typically cut almost half of what I’ve written in order for the final version to be crisp, logical & focused. To make it easier, I’ll keep the deleted words/sentences in a “cut file”, telling myself I’m not deleting them forever. But I rarely rescue stuff from the cut file to use in a pub. Anyway, that’s my process
@phase I’d love to hear her say that. I’m sure her tone is quite expressive.
When I was a smart alecky 13 year old, I asked my Mom if my —much younger— siblings were “mistakes”?
She said, “You were ALL mistakes!”
I’m pretty sure that you can’t completely master the art of sarcasm unless you become a mother.
@Jack_Riddle creepy
@Queasy Yes, I read Heather every morning. This was quite a succinct summary of a complicated set of events. I don’t know how she manages to write & publish these on a daily basis— along with teaching, research & writing her books! (I published weekly essay on Substack— and it takes me half the week to research, write & edit the piece!)
@phase That’s quite a skill!
@naomi_ranni Welcome!💐
Why not post an #Introduction? That usually draws some hellos
