This should worry nonbelievers, theists of other religions and even those of Christianity. There are currently 44,000 denominations of Christianity, what makes adherents think theirs will be chosen to rule over the others. Would the Mormons or Baptists want the Catholics in charge?

@damianreloaded In the 70's there was a progressive country that was taken over by ultra right-wing religious personnel. The place is Iran.

So is Islam a threat? Of course but in the U.S. it's not our top threat. Christianity has been eroding our Freedom of Church and State for decades with pushes for changes in laws in their favour.
