@LaurelGreen I was 16 in ‘73 when I got pregnant. My dad took me to Planned Parenthood out on Long Island (we lived in Brooklyn). I had another abortion a year later. I got married at 31. I didn’t have my first child until I was 33. Had my 2nd when I was 35. I love my kids. My life would’ve been over if I had a kid at 16.
@Meri as a former clinic director it’s the rape/incest extreme poverty stories that lodge in my memory the strongest. But the stories like yours, how abortion access saved our lives, created who we were able to become, is what I remember the most of. ❤️
