I was taught there are 2 types of people. A good person & a bad person. The good person means well but makes mistakes while the bad person aims to be bad & hurtful.
I've always considered myself to be a good person. I've always tried to do the right things but I've made alot of mistakes, many of which caused my divorce.
However now I feel like I'm the bad person, based on her remarks, when in my heart I know I'm not. It weighs on me greatly & makes me question myself 😣 😥

@MarvelousMadi13 Like the saying goes, there are 3 sides to every story--yours, theirs, and the truth.
If your divorce is still new, trusting the comments of your former spouse might not be so wise for your mental health. And it won't change what's already happened anyway.
Ask your friends if you need to make changes & really listen to what they say. Then if you need to, go about making them one day at a time. And stop being so hard on yourself. NOBODY is perfect. ❤️

@ChillySnowgirl We are still going through it, so still very fresh.

@MarvelousMadi13 Well then i'll say it again--i would give little weight to your ex right now, because they obviously have a bias. I would trust the opinions of your friends (and not the ones you have mutually but YOUR friends)at this time.
And also, if you're wanting (and trying) to be a good person, then at least you're making an effort. Sitting by and telling someone they're awful (like the ex is doing) isn't helpful at all, in my opinion.

@MarvelousMadi13 sounds like a very tough situation. Relationships are not easy under the best of circumstances. Maybe more time will help with clarity. ☮️
