Found a small turtle beside our front gate. I took it to a nearby arroyo and turned it loose amid the dense vegetation. I love turtles.

But I did sell a painting via Etsy today for a modest amount, considering it's on canvas paper.

Edgar Allan Poe is up there with his raven, too. Got him at the Library of Congress gift shop before we move out to NM.

Got my Halloween season started inside. Got my 'toys' out. Not putting up the lights until the day before Halloween or the rest of the outside decor until Halloween itself. 'Don't want my vampire lady stolen.

Got my proof copy, paperback edition, from Lulu.com today.
Once I check through it for last edits, I can approve it and it will be ready for purchase. This is a print on demand publisher. 543 pages, a somewhat epic length.

What started as just random pigments applied to 12 x 12 canvas ended as a study for Hecate for Halloween.

An experiment, playing with paint, fun with color. Don't know what to call it.

Finished a study/practice run for my annual Hecate for Halloween projects.
Oil on canvas 12" x 12".

I think they're either discussing strategy or what to get for dinner.

The Gaia painting started the same way this abstract one did. I just put pigments on the canvas and then played with them. This one is called Hint of Autumn.

Last touches done - Gaia - Rainfall, oil on canvas 12" x 12"

This is its cover art: a combination of old photographs that I printed up as postcards via Zazzle.com and a winter sunset I had done several years ago in Maryland.

Finished the painting on canvas paper. It's kind of a call back to a novel I wrote called The Hunter of the Dead, about Hades and Persephone. This is Dionysus and Persephone.
