@MariaAragon64 I'm often wary of such projects.
It's very easy to go from regeneration to gentrification. I hope they don't fall into that trap because it sounds like a brilliant idea.

Many of the old wool/cotton mills in the UK got turned into waterside luxury apartments. A shame but better than just knocking them down, I suppose.

It's usually what happens. Wherever the artists go to find affordable housing, the developers follow and then price the artists out and the cycle repeats. There's a whole show called Bargain Block in which these two guys buy up run down houses in Detroit and make them livable again. They try to keep them affordable for Detroiters.
