Something to consider, each year over 1,000,000 Americans die from obesity related health issues. Heart disease caused by fatty greasy foods, diabetes because of all the added sugar in our foods and overdosing on carbohydrate laden processed foods. So, that is more than 10 times more deaths than opiate caused deaths. Why is sucrose, fat and carbs not banned? Silly? Yes. The point is that opiates are less likely to kill you than all the processed foods we eat on a daily basis.

@MallyDaKatt
Sorry, but that doesn't follow. Almost everyone in the country consume fatty and carb-laden foods, but not everyone uses opiates! It's like the difference between motor vehicle and skiing injuries.

Yeah, I was not being totally serious. Besides being a semi recovered opiate addict, I am a big time sugar and carbohydrate addict. It is the long term these processed foods cause harm to out bodies.
