Generally, board member compensations are capped at 600 dollars, more than that they have to get a 1099. But yes, board members can be paid. As @SandHillThicket stated, the rules vary by state.

Today they released Discordia, which is a song by song deconstruction and "re-imagining" of the same tracks. I'm listening to the original songs followed by their new versions - which render the originals unrecognizable. It's a fun listening experience.
