🎧 Roger Waters, "Amused To Death" Thanks to @YouInMyEye for putting this one in my mental queue. It's hard to separate Waters' extremism from his art. He looks at war as an assault on people, so his politics are guided by body count. That being said, ATD, to my ears, is his ultimate anti-war/anti-capitalism statement. One has to respect his dedication to the want for a better world. Lyrically, musically, and production-wise, it's a triumph.

Just a quick note - there are differences between the 1992 original and the 2015 re-release. It doesn't really take away anything conceptually, but I prefer the original. The mix is almost identical, except for "The Bravery of Being Out of Range" which is markedly different. The 2015 mix also inserts a long disputed sample from 2001 A Space Odyssey in the song "Perfect Sense", replacing the original backwards masked "message" to Stanley Kubrick.
