So, this guy ripped my son off for $7000 in a used car sale. All I’ve been trying to do is get the title from him. It’s been over a week. Today I texted him and suggested i would take him to small claims court for the title. Heres his reaction and my response. Did I over-react?

Unfortunately Kentucky doesnt have a lemon law for private sales. So we r focusing on getting an estimate on getting it fixed. Worst case we write it off as a very expensive lesson learned for our son. We dont think he should “pay the price” for this guy being a douchebag, so we r going to replace the cash and it will be a down payment on a dealer used car. He worked his ass off to earn that money so we want to reward that.

Well, thank you, I try! When all of this went down, i took a few minutes and thought about what my parents did when I was absolutely distraught when I made a bad decision because I was young and naive. And I just did that.
