🎧 Porcupine Tree, “Signify”. This was the first PT album I ever heard, back in 97 just after it came out. I couldn’t believe music this good still existed, especially when good prog had become barren. Steven Wilson re-framed the genre, adding just enough heart to keep it from sounding cold and distant. And the musicianship, damn. A great jumping on point if you’re unfamiliar. The titular instrumental, “Sever”, “Sleep…”, “Waiting” are all great tracks. Dig in.
