Quick stretch-aroo, then back to writing. (I figured out what I needed from my main POVs, so hopefully the rewrite comes easily now.)

QUESTION:

Let's say you're on a Star Trek episode as the alien-of-the-week.

You're playing a member of a new species, which is based on your name (or username), personality, and interests:

What's your species called, what's its deal, and why's it running into a Starfleet crew?

🖖

@MLClark

I am an exiled Organian, a member of a very long lived species. Set adrift in space, alone, within a space ship that can provide all my basic needs for centuries. I was exiled for the crime of extreme empathy, rationality, and forbearance. My species is highly war like, and combativeness is seen as a virtue. In a moment of rare mercy they sentenced me to exile rather than death.

I could 100% see some aboard the Enterprise trying to figure out if you need anything, and if all that time alone has somehow traumatized you into not being able to accept aid. Their "journey" in the episode would entail coming to peace with the fact that you're perfectly fine as you are, thank-you-very-much, and finally pressing on. 👌

@MLClark

Yes, and before the crew left, they programed my replicator with many new fine foods and drinks. Along with a large database of federation literature.

@corlin

Throw in some Klingon opera, and it sounds like you're set for life. :)
