I feel very unaccomplished today, but I know that's just a state of mind. A lot got done.

And... once the marching band finishes, it's back to a novella for me. Tough to finish this one, though, because I first drafted it before world-grief really took hold. All the things I was pouring into it then feel very small right now.

I don't usually do full rewrites, but this might be an exception. It feels bizarrely "twee" for a post-coronal mass ejection murder mystery with ghosts.

Glad I stopped where I did. I can feel the desire to sit down again. Soon.

You're still working on the creative part of your life even if you're not writing. It's building in you: the urgency, the ache, the words. You can feel it even now, and you'll know when the time is right.

But be kind to yourself whenever you *do* sit down again. The world-grief doesn't ease just because you've found a way to write some of it down. 💙
