Time for a run. We shall see how this body fares after so many sick days. If we have to alternate between running and walking at times, so be it - but there will be at least 5k one way or another before I get back.
Have a lovely one, all. π€
Hydrate! Move! Be good to you!
Love right back to you, Beratna. And congrats on a freaking hard-won six years. πͺ No one else can ever see all the work that goes into them. Thank you for all your self-care.
@MLClark this is the absolute sweetest. π
@BosmangBeratna M L is the sweetest, *and* I think they have a birthday soon. @MLClark
@MLClark Run easy bud! Great job getting back to it.
@MLClark stay safe!
I hope it went well. Walk-run is okay. Everything is ok, including just getting out the door. Some days are like that. And then the next day is better, and so on.
I hope to be able to join you in a run in a few days, fingers crossed. Apparently there's no snow anymore, so I can even do it outside. π
It was indeed a walk-run! Part of my abdomen got stabby, so we negotiated along the way.
I'd like to return to my morning runs / weights, but I have to finish the book first, so that I'm not writing too late in the night for proper wake-up routines.
Once that's off my plate, though, I can frame the rest of my writing around a healthier exercise schedule.
And congrats to you for eyeing the sidewalk! You need to remind it who's boss for a few days first, before hitting the pavement. π
As I get older (ahem), I've learned to be very compassionate with myself about running. I only started doing it in my forties and I'm injury prone, but gosh, there's nothing like it for turning everything around, body and soul. So I sometimes have weeks of walk-run only these days, and I'm grateful for it.
Take it one forward step at a time so you don't have to step back, I always say. Anyway, I'm so glad you're mending and back out in the world.
Oh, I hear you on that benefit! A good run sometimes brings out a pent-up cry in me.
Haven't had a good therapeutic release on a run in half a year, though. I am well overdue. :) Here's to taking it one day at a time!
@MLClark
Love to you, kopeng. Kick today's arse.
