UGH. Why do they have to be that way?
I think I've mentioned before that all the footage I've sifted through these last few months didn't break me - but the glib commentary on each brutal post definitely did.
It can feel ubiquitous, the *cruelty* of humanity in the face of so much pain & any attempts to alleviate the same.
The only thing that helps is folks like you, who keep showing up anyway.

I know you only "liked" my post, but I know how hard this year has been. In a normal year, there would've been room for stories outside the chaos of world crises. It's frustrating to know that, if only we'd been born to other decades, we might've done fine--just fine!
