if you are #rural i want to follow you! 🤗
@peeppeepcircus how are all the critters doing in this cold snap? It got cold fast!
@M00dyBlue the deer are still around as they always are. i have two resident skunks who are used to me and let me get close without spraying me, no change. birds are squawking every morning. but it's cold out there and i don't want to do my outdoor chores, which will only make more! lol
@peeppeepcircus Yeah My dogs are rushing out to potty then straight back in and under their blankets. My birds still come for seed in the morning but that's about it. Been very quiet since the storms. Did you see the tornado damage in Galt? Holy crap, my mom lived a few blocks from there!
@M00dyBlue 🌪️?! did not hear about a Galt tornado 👀
@peeppeepcircus oh jeez it ripped apart the roof of a dairy 😲
@M00dyBlue i'm gonna have to look into that. meanwhile i'm still trying to get cozy like your smart dogs under a blanket.
@M00dyBlue OMFG. what. is. happening. thank you for sharing. jaw dropping
@peeppeepcircus I was thinking we would see one here. It got crazy windy and the skies were ripe for it. Then I saw on kcra one touched down in Galt. My daughter teaches at the high school there so I freaked out. She was fine. Had a huge funnel cloud here last spring during a similar storm. I watched it right over the pastures in front of me. It never touched down thankfully. But it made the news too. Just crazy! Wtf?
@peeppeepcircus It's just insane that anyone can deny climate change. When I was a kid it NEVER exceeded 110 in the summer. Now every summer is seeing 113-116. The endless fires and relentless heat just get worse every year 😢
@JayCee we have ski resorts going out of business due to not getting any snow or just a light dusting. Our lakes and rivers are mostly dried up. Hearing that you're seeing it up there is really scary! My god, what have we done 😟
@M00dyBlue oh i know 110 was still ok but this heatwave i got to over 120. some of my thermometers didn't go up that high. i did some experiments by putting some under the shade of oaks, like a woodsy tree canopy, and some under manmade shade. it blew my mind, because the ones under oak shade were 10 degrees cooler than manmade shade every time. this climate shift is showing us how unprepared we are and how little we understand about it as a society.
@peeppeepcircus truth! We are way past discussion time and neck deep in the need for immediate drastic change in our treatment of this planet.
@M00dyBlue
Over here when I was younger there would be a meter of snow minumin before Chrismas, lakes and rivers with ppl skating playing hockey. Now lucky if it snows and cold enough that stays on the ground before Feb.
