@Ironworker229 Spatzel = potato noodles-- very Bavarian.

I have had some excellent German meals while I was working in Germany. The best food was in this small village South of Heidelberg,.

@Ironworker229

Not all German food is bland or awful like potato pancakes and and endless number of sausages :)

But if I didn't see those potatoes with your meal, I would doubt its authenticity ;) lol

According to Charles Lister, director of the Syria and Countering Terrorism and Extremism programs at the Middle East Institute in Washington, the Russian military, including its special operations forces, has forged a "highly intimate operational alliance with Hezbollah during the recent years in Syria." Lister notes that this relationship is widely acknowledged and persists.

The US has been a pretty good partner. There have been hiccups since Republicans took the house and delayed funding for 8 months, and no doubt they will do so again...

But... we are providing millions of artillery shells, thousands of missiles, hundreds of armored units, and a crapload of small arms.

I don't doubt our current commitment in the Senate and Biden admin.

I do worry about their troop strength, however.

I noticed you exonerated Russia when it was the US and Russia that promised to protect Ukraine.

In fact, Russia engaged in subterfuge training separatists and then used the "protect Ukraine" as an excuse supply separatists and then invade ostensibly to protect Ukraine from fictional Nazis in 2014.

Weird fact: Both Obama and Biden built more border wall than the Trump Admin.

That is, they did their jobs, and Congress had committed funds to a border wall, so wall got built regardless of what Obama or Biden may have thought of the utility.

So why did Trump fail so badly? lol

@h8cloz They gave those up with the promise the US and Russia would protect them.

I wonder if this is the cause of the rift between the US DoD and AFU? Ukraine appears to be fighting a war of attrition, and I doubt the Pentagon thinks that's the way to go.

They need more brigades to hold territory, and should be attacking forward staging areas like they did this week cutting off logistics to Crimea.

Ukraine hopes to build troop strength and establish at least 10 brigades, many of them mechanized by early 2025.

I would note that 10 brigades is probably enough to keep chewing up Russian offensives, but it's at least 4-8 brigades short of what Ukraine would need to recapture and hold lost territory.
