Many parents are now considering the option of home school. In May the number was 40% and that rose to 60% in July. Those numbers are higher than they have ever been. I am linking both the May and July articles and also including another poll as well.
From May https://www.federationforchildren.org/national-poll-40-of-families-more-likely-to-homeschool-after-lockdowns-end/
From July

Here is the poll. After the lockdowns lift what will your choice be for your kids. If you don't have children give me your thoughts in the replies

@corlin I got em. must have been a glytch
No kids but I think it’s really bad to knowingly send your kid to a Petri dish every day.
However, I also know that many parents can’t afford to stay home and teach their kid.
Personally, I think it’s irresponsible to have a kid if they don’t have the financial strength to handle your income getting cut in half if you’re a two-parent household. If you are a single parent and don’t have the other parent paying financial child support... I dunno. You’re SOL. ->
Our nation should do more to help people in disadvantageous situations like that. Because now you’re being forced to choose between risking your child dying of plague or your child inevitably and eventually starving.
I suppose something might happen if we did a nationwide general strike, but we can’t, because we have too many plague rats just /dying/ to go to work and to go out and buy shit.
So I don’t know.
@LibertySpeaks I am pulling mine out of school and he is going to take the GED and call high school quits. He will be missing his Jr and Sr year but he was only hanging out for band and drama anyway. time to move on to bigger things. I really feel for those who have younger students.
