The #Twitter I came from was hyper-focused on #politics and primarily bashing the #GOP.
This kind of thing never popped up. I saw it today and found it to be a most delightful distraction. I couldn’t wait to participate.
And that’s the thing, isn’t it? #CoSo isn’t about just ONE thing. I have yet to feel pigeonholed or stuck in any sort of rut. It’s REFRESHING.
I wouldn’t go back to that Hellscape if Elongated Muckraker paid *me*.
@MarshScarecrow And yes, I got on Twitter in 2012 for PBO's re-election, and it's been 90% politics. By the end it drained me. I was already pulling away last year.
@MarshScarecrow I've made my account private, and only use it for DMs with a couple of people.
I dumped mine altogether almost 10 years to the day I created it (I think it was 10 years and a day, maybe two) and have no regrets.
@LiberalLibrarian
I finally walked away a couple of months ago, and couldn’t make myself re-engage no matter how much I tried. It became exhausting. I was about to wash my hands of this type of thing for good but thankfully found #CoSo. This is a utopian oasis by comparison.
