Apparently, one of the markets near us is selling baby geese.
I could have a pet goose.
Nothing in my apartment lease says I can't have a pet goose. They're under the appropriate pet weight limit.
Are they Canadian geese? If so, nope, no, non. They are messy. They are noisy. They charge attack you. At least the pair that like to spend time in my back yard. I wish to high heaven they would return to Canada. 😎
@ellesu It's not Canadian. Around here it's probably Snow, but could be Bar-headed, Emperor, Swan, White-headed, Taiga, or Tundra goose.
They may all be better behaved than the Canadian. 😂 I probably literally look like a fool waving a broom or PVC pipe piece in front of me to walk in my own backyard sometimes. 😉
They are disgusting pests. Sometimes someone will call Wildlife and Fisheries to have them removed - especially if they are chasing their kiddos.
@ellesu @AlphaCentauri My husband was all for geese as pets. He grew up in farm country, and, apparently, if you hand-raise geese they are absolutely loving and adorable.
I'm glad you posted this because it helps me think there is hope for some species of geese as far as sharing. I'm going to shout at my Canadian intruders that they could learn manners from others in their species.
@AlphaCentauri @ellesu I live in Korea. We're not on the flight path for Canadian geese usually. But we have multiple other kinds of geese.

If there are not already Canada geese living in the river near your house, there's a reason. They've taken over every place they can survive in. The produce a shit ton of poop and are not capable of being housetrained. (They have a cloaca, not a rectum. It's like pooping and peeing and ejaculating through a vagina.)
