Morning thought:
For people who aren't psychopaths or sociopaths, compassion isn't an option or even a choice; it's a natural reflex on seeing the suffering of others.
Why, then, is there so little compassion in the world? Not because people do not feel it, but because they've been taught to suppress it, given all kinds of excuses that will avoid compassionate action:
• There's not enough time
• Someone else will do it
• I already gave
• My taxes are paying for that
• It'll just go for drink
