NY came out this afternoon. 5th largest crowd for Citi. This is the baseball we want to be playing.
I was going to go to an Oktoberfest event. It starts in an hour and we are in the top of the 8th.
My watch is telling me my heart rate is in the 113-120 range.
(Watching that ball fall out of reach of a diving OF sent me)
TWO RUN BLOOPER/FLYBALL FROM ALVAREZ
This 7th inning, yeesh. The lunacy you'd expect from playoff caliber teams in the final weeks.
Maaaaan when a triple bounces over the fence and gets declared a ground rule double. Ow.
Phillies got lucky with that and the near misplay to end the inning.
Back to back Alvarez and Acuna! 2-1 in the 2nd. That'll wake up a Saturday afternoon crowd.
But for those scoreboard watching, Braves lost. That almost matters more right now.
If I'm a fan at Citi, it's time to avoid the traffic.
For me, it's time to change the channel.
Okay, so the Mets have given up on tonight. Welcome to the playoffs, Phillies. Marte God lazy and allowed a single to become a triple.
Okay, so this what getting 10 runs scored on you feels like.
At this point, it's obvious that Ottovino is of the opinion that he can walk a dude, let him steal two and it won't matter, because he'll get the outs necessary on his own.
Except he doesn't get those outs.
Phillies have scored six in the 4th.
Vientos just stole a hit from Realmuto, good lord.
Please stop doing what you're doing, Phillies. Ain't nobody in that stadium wants you to score.

That last one is always the toughest. Ohtani deserves all the praise and headlines today, but the Mets just scored 10+ in three straight games.
