(this is our second no hitter in 60 seasons)
STRUCK OUT THE SIDE IN THE 9TH. COMBINED NO HITTER WITH THE BLACK JERSEYS IN QUEENS.
I love how aggressive the Mets have been on base this year.
We're three outs from a combined no hitter. The announcers are talking it up and I want to scream at them to shut up about it...as I toot about it....
Well I was going to live toot, but ran late and needed the computer to stream TV, so I had to put mlb.tv on my phone and I forgot I was logged in here. Anyway....
It's friggin April and I'm having reactions like it's mid September in my living room.
Nimmo flies out. That's game. Send the Nats fans home happy to at least not get swept.
It is a long 162 game season, but in that last 2 weeks if the standings are down to one game, it's games like this that you look at.
Davis sends it right to Soto. 2 outs.
McNeil flies to LF. Davis up.
Canha leads off with a single to right center.
Line drive to Alonso. Mets need 2 runs to force the Nats up again.
Welp. 4-2 Nats and I let out an audible word with windows open.
8th is getting away from the Mets. Tie game. Alonso with two bad throws.
The bad: bases loaded
The good: two outs and Soto got on with a fielder's choice (vs a base hit).
Doolittle took down the threat. I think he feels mildly avenged from a few years back when we tossed him around.
Nido bunted. That success lead to restrategizing from Nimmo. Went down swinging. Now Cano...
and Soto down with a ground ball to 2B. Sweet.
Movie fan. Mets fan. I like to travel. Once scored a goal against a Jamaican soccer team in Cuba.
