Milwaukee is like "we don't want to play you in the post season, so....."
I'm a talentless dolt and I feel like swinging at the first pitch from a reliever with two on and two out is....not the way to play.
You know, some teams have clenched already. THE TIGERS have clenched. The Mets? Nooooo, they just have to make every friggin game matter.
These umps....
HOW WAS THAT A STRIKE
The relief of a two run home run in the 3rd, even if we're still down by three...is encouraging.
Baseball was to be played in Atlanta tonight and tomorrow night.
For those that don't know, Georgia is about to get hit by a hurricane.
Those games were postponed 45 minutes ago.
What kind of timing is that?
Woulda been nice to force the Braves to win the next two, but noooooo......
(I can only hope this gives the Mets some motivation, but our recent record of 5-21...now 22...down south isn't inspiring. Then again we could get to 7-22 to end the year and it's be a good thing and the record would still suck!)
Please let that Vientos blast be the beginning of the dam breaking.
*Instant flyout follows*
Just friggin Flex Taped that hole.
Okay, so this is Harris's game, huh?
I could be mad at Severino, but our offense isn't exactly doing it today to help him out.
I wonder if an injured Lindor is the only thing keeping Alonso starting?
I mean, he's not producing at the plate and I suspect Lindor playing would let Vientos move to 1B, Iglesias to 3B, and Acuna to 2B.
At least the inning ends still 3-0.
3-0 Braves with 2 on and 2 out in bottom 3 and this is the worst sense of deja vu.
When the schedule first came out, every Met fan that looked at it saw three in ATL at the end of the year (AGAIN) and just knew.
A few years back, we went down and got swept and out of playoff contention.
At this point ATL would need to sweep us again AND win one more out of their final three. The fact that there's still a chance sucks. Off day Monday and then T/W/T are either elating or soul crushing. No in-between.
Why do I do this to myself? 😂
We're doing this without three of our best. Lindor, McNeil, and Senga.
Movie fan. Mets fan. I like to travel. Once scored a goal against a Jamaican soccer team in Cuba.
